Most international visitors to Tanzania will need:
A passport valid for at least six months after your arrival.
A tourist visa, which can be applied for online through Tanzania's official e-Visa system.
It is possible to apply for a visa on arrival, but we strongly recommend applying in advance to make your arrival smoother.
If you're planning to join us in Zanzibar after the wedding, please note that they require international visitors to purchase a mandatory local travel insurance (currently USD 44 per adult).

We recommend staying in Masaki, where the wedding venue is likely to be located.
Masaki is a peninsula on the northern side of Dar es Salaam and is one of the city's most popular areas for visitors. You'll find many restaurants, cafés, beaches, and waterfront venues nearby, including Sea Cliff Hotel, The Slipway, and Bravo by Coco.
We'll share specific accommodation recommendations closer to the wedding.
-
We'll provide recommendations for:
Airport transfers
Transportation to and from the wedding venue
Shared transportation opportunities with other guests
Getting around Dar es Salaam is generally easy using ride-hailing apps, taxis, and private transfers.
-
We recommend bringing:
Lightweight summer clothing
Something dressy for the wedding
Comfortable shoes
Swimwear
Sun protection
Tanzania is warm year-round, but evenings can occasionally be breezy near the coast.

We’d love for your little ones to join us for the ceremony as we exchange our vows.
For the reception (celebration), however, we have chosen to keep the celebration adults-only.
We know many of you are travelling a long way to celebrate with us, and we hope you'll treat the evening as an opportunity to relax, reconnect, and enjoy a memorable celebration together.
Our reception is designed as an evening of shared dining, dancing, and festivities that will continue late into the night.
Thank you for your understanding. We can't wait to celebrate with you all. -
